An honest-to-goodness child prodigy, Shane was offered a scholarship to Juilliard at the age of 16, but chose rock and roll instead. Shane is a highly versatile studio musician and successful session player, producer, composer, arranger and conductor.

Over the course of a 20-year recording career, he has performed on and arranged more than 1,000 Top 40 records, earning 25 gold and platinum albums along the way. He has played on and produced countless albums and worked with some of the finest performers in the industry, including Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, Roberta Flack, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Lionel Richie, Celine Dion, Billy Joel, Tom Jones and many more. He also served as a staff producer for Ahmet Ertegun at Atlantic Records.

In film and advertising, Shane scored Ernest Goes to Camp and has created music for major brands and networks including Sara Lee, SlimFast, Fox, Diet Dr Pepper, and HBO.

His expertise extends beyond performance and production. Shane has designed sound libraries for Yamaha, Oberheim and Moog and conducted research and development for Synclavier.
